Kevin Harding, an Equity Research analyst from Investec is the new chair of CRUF South Africa, taking over from outgoing chair, David Smith.
Kevin is a chartered accountant and brings a wealth of experience in risk and regulatory projects in the financial services sector.
Commenting on becoming chair of the South African CRUF network, Kevin said:
“I have been greatly impressed by the contribution CRUF South Africa has made to the accounting, governance and regulatory debates. I am particularly proud of the group for engaging with the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on improving headline earnings per share.
“The CRUF empowers investors and analysts to shape and influence the information they receive. It also provides a channel for those in the investor community to become more involved as volunteers with standard setting and regulatory processes.
“I am very much looking forward to leading the group as CRUF South Africa embarks on the next phase of its development.”
